Smartsearchonline is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager in Reno, NV to lead day-to-day warehouse and cold storage operations within a food manufacturing and distribution environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership to build strong teams, improve efficiency, manage inventory and labor, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the operation.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: some college coursework or a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience leading warehouse or distribution teams.
• Strong inventory management and warehouse operations knowledge.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse and cold storage operations to achieve goals and performance objectives.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline employees.
• Establish clear goals and expectations for the warehouse team.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance development.
• Promote teamwork and accountability across the operation.
• Establish and maintain efficient inventory management processes and systems.
• Ensure accurate receiving, storage, picking, inventory control, and product movement.
• Optimize Warehouse Management Systems and voice-picking technology to maximize accuracy.
• Monitor inventory levels to support production, transportation, wholesale, and distributor requirements.
• Oversee receiving of internally manufactured and purchased products.
• Manage return-to-stock processes and ensure inventory is properly controlled.
• Maintain loading documentation, reconciliation counts, and paperwork.
• Drive loading accuracy and reduce overages and shipment errors.
• Oversee case and palletizing operations for timely loading.
• Champion a strong safety culture and GMP/food safety compliance.
• Apply continuous improvement mindset to warehouse processes and systems.
