Job summary

Harrington is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Reno, NV to lead a small team of warehouse/driver associates, ensure safe operations, and optimize shipment accuracy. You will schedule, approve timecards, and back up drivers as needed.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, inventory control, and proactive communication with internal teams to improve space utilization and workflow. A high school diploma and forklift experience are preferred, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier.
• Must frequently lift and move 20 pounds, occasionally up to 75 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent or at least one year of warehouse experience managing hourly employees.
• Proficiency with warehouse policies and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills; ability to collaborate with all levels of staff.
• The ability to provide effective feedback.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of three or less warehouse/driver associates; participate in hiring and evaluations; approve timecards and create schedules.
• Ensure the warehouse is secure, maintain equipment and vehicles, and ensure safe use.
• Follow federal, state, and local regulations for warehousing, shipping, and material handling.
• Create systems for organization and communication; ensure efficient space utilization.
• Maintain health and safety standards; read orders and distribute items accordingly.
• Move materials from receiving to storage; store according to size/type/product code.
• Assemble customer orders and prepare for delivery.
• Mark materials with IDs; record quantities; perform data entry.
• Prepare requisitions to order materials; prepare parcels; perform physical counts.
• Act as back-up when delivery driver is unavailable.
