Job summary

QXO is seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily warehouse, yard, inventory, shipping and receiving operations across our building materials facilities in Baton Rouge. You will provide hands-on leadership to warehouse teams, coordinate inventory flow, staffing, equipment, and safety.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in building materials operations, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a track record of improving productivity, accuracy, and customer service in fast-paced

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, operations, or related environment.
• Experience leading warehouse or operational teams.
• Experience with inventory, shipping/receiving, material handling, and warehouse workflow.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse and yard operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient material flow.
• Coordinate staffing, equipment, and facility needs to support on-time deliveries.
• Oversee picking, staging, stocking, receiving, loading, and movement of building materials.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and implement corrective actions for discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA requirements, and PPE standards.
• Partner with Sales, Purchasing, Transportation, and Shop to optimize operations and customer service.
