Job summary

Pelican Products is seeking a seasoned Warehouse Operations & Distribution Manager for its Ontario, California facility. You will own the people, processes, and performance from receiving to regional distribution, ensuring accuracy, safety, and on-time delivery of Pelican products.

You will plan labor, space, equipment, and shift requirements, develop SOPs, monitor KPIs, and partner with Planning, Manufacturing, and Customer Service to support growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• 3+ years supervising warehouse or distribution teams.
• Experience with receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and material flow.
• Knowledge of SAP or ERP/WMS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse and regional distribution operations across all logistics activities.
• Develop supervisors and teams with clear expectations and accountability.
• Ensure orders, transfers, and production requirements are fulfilled safely and on time.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycles, counts, and discrepancies investigations.
• Plan labor, space, equipment and shift needs based on forecasts and demand.
• Monitor KPIs for safety, productivity, inventory, and on‑time shipping.
• Create and enforce SOPs and work instructions for warehouse activities.
• Coordinate outbound transportation, load planning, and freight documentation.
• Optimize layout, storage utilization, and material flow for efficiency.
• Investigate variances and implement corrective actions.
• Manage operating expenses and budgets for the warehouse.
• Maintain safe, compliant operations and enforce safety procedures.
