Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Mechanic to manage general maintenance duties for powered equipment across the warehouse.

You will identify mechanical issues in pneumatic, hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems and perform preventive maintenance on forklifts, pallet jacks, sweepers, scrubbers and more. Role requires lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance, enduring warehouse conditions, and operating equipment for long shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Work in a warehouse environment with heat, cold, noise and dust.
• Work in all areas of the warehouse as workload dictates.
• Operate powered equipment for up to 8 hours daily.
• Stand, bend, lift, pull and push for up to 8 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general maintenance duties for powered equipment and warehouse areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance on forklift, pallet jacks, sweeper, scrubber, tugger and clamp attachments.
• Ensure a safe and professional work environment inside and outside the warehouse.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to prioritize workload and follow up on issues.
