Qualifications

What you'll do

The Senior Warehouse Associate- DOT is responsible for overseeing and assuring accurate and timely distribution and transporting of supplies/items throughout Bassett Healthcare Network and Medical Center by the distribution staff. Responsible for accurate ordering, receiving, stocking and shipping of all Bassett Healthcare Network supplies. Additional duties may include coordination of work for contract courier staff and driving Department of Transportation (DOT) registered vehicles (Box Truck) across campuses.

  • Coordinates all Network Courier distribution activity (may include courier service) related to Bassett Healthcare Network or Medical Center logistics.
  • Communicates daily and as needed with Network Courier management staff, dispatchers, and couriers to assure timely and accurate service throughout Bassett Network.
  • Monitors distribution schedules and reports any issues to Manager, Materials Services.
  • Assures all Bassett Healthcare Network supplies and equipment are accurately received, stocked, distributed and shipped appropriately.
  • Assures all shipments are inspected, reporting any damages, shortages, and incorrect shipments to the appropriate buyer by the end of the day of receipt.
  • Assures all items are accurately received in INFOR materials management system.
  • Assures all packing slips and delivery tickets are filed accurately.
  • Assures ordering, restocking and adjustments of par level inventories, cooperatively working with clinical areas in maintaining med/surgical supply needs.
  • Assures product expiration dates and package integrity are checked and maintained appropriately.
  • Assures stocking of shelves and issuing of product according to departmental policy and FIFO procedures.
  • Assures stock items are picked, packed and shipped appropriately, ensuring products are delivered to the proper location/individual by the end of the day.
  • Assures appropriate receipt signature and initials are obtained on delivery slips.
  • Assures items are shipped appropriately, entering correct data into shipping system and verifying shipping documents are completed and filed appropriately.
  • Participates in routine and year-end inventory counts.
  • Assures vehicle inspections are complete, and documentation submitted according to department policy.
  • Trains new staff and participates in training programs, departmental and divisional meetings.
  • Keeps well informed regarding Bassett Healthcare, optimizes communication, and promotes the integrity and reputation of the department and organization.
  • Answers and responds to telephone and/or pager calls promptly directing unanswered questions/concerns to the appropriate team member.

What we need from you

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED, required

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years Warehouse/Distribution experience, required
  • Minimum 2 years Healthcare experience, preferred

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Must be able to meet criteria for NYSDOT and/or FMCSA requirements to operate a commercial motor vehicle, and maintain eligibility of insurability to operate the organization's vehicles, required

Physical Requirements:

Pay Range

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.


Pay Range Minimum:

USD $17.32/Hr.
Pay Range Maximum:

USD $25.98/Hr.
