Job summary

Acloché LLC in Sacramento seeks an Associate Attorney to join its wage and hour litigation team. The role focuses on complex California wage-and-hour disputes, including class and representative actions in state and federal court.

Based in the Sacramento office, the attorney will develop litigation strategy, take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and draft motions and pleadings, while advising employers and coordinating with the broader labor and employment practice.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of litigation experience.
• Active California Bar admission.
• JD from ABA-accredited law school.
• Experience in wage-and-hour defense matters.
• Familiarity with PAGA and FLSA.

Responsibilities

• Develop litigation strategy across California wage-and-hour disputes.
• Take and defend depositions and manage significant written discovery.
• Research, draft, and argue motions including dispositive and class-related filings.
• Prepare pleadings, briefs, and other key litigation documents.
• Evaluate and develop strategy for representative actions under PAGA.
• Collaborate with clients and cross-practice teams.
