Job summary

Cboe Global Markets, Inc. in Chicago seeks a Sr Vulnerability Analyst to drive the vulnerability management lifecycle and reduce risk across global IT infrastructure. You will own risk assessment from scans, coordinate remediation with global teams, and be a senior escalation point for security tickets.

You’ll lead automation, integrate data across tools, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to strengthen security controls in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security, or 3 years in security plus 2–3 years in core IT roles with engineering focus.
• Hands‑on with vulnerability management and cloud/SaaS tooling in enterprise environments.
• Strong Python scripting to automate security operations and data analysis.
• Advanced AI usage skills and related tooling experience.
• Systems/identity administration in Linux/Windows, AD/Entra ID, and network devices.
• Familiar with Microsoft Security stack (Defender, Purview, Intune).
• 2+ years in vulnerability monitoring, threat detection, or incident response.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence for workflow design and automation.
• Experience creating Power BI/Sigma/Snowflake visualizations.
• Excellent English communication to convey risk and remediation guidance.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in on‑call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Reduce risk to global IT infrastructure by executing and improving RBVM program.
• Analyze vulnerability scans, assess risk, coordinate remediation with global teams.
• Serve as senior escalation point for vulnerability tickets and risk acceptance.
• Design, operate, and maintain vulnerability scanning infrastructure.
• Drive automation to improve detection, remediation tracking and reporting.
• Normalize data from multiple security tools for analysis and response.
• Partner with infrastructure, application, and platform teams for remediation and controls.
• Evaluate emerging vulnerabilities and security technologies for relevance.
• Assess and improve vulnerability management processes and controls.
• Lead security discussions with stakeholders and present trends to management.
• Mentor and coach junior staff; document standards and procedures.
