Job summary

Cboe Global Markets, Inc. is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to join the Security Engineering and Operations Team. You will manage, deploy, and configure SIEM, SOAR, EDR, email gateways, and data loss prevention to secure multiple business environments.

The role requires hands-on engineering across platforms, developing reference architectures, and ensuring security through design, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in information security or 3 years with additional IT/system/network experience.
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, DLP, and email security controls.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation for security operations.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows administration (AD, EntraID).
• Proficiency with Microsoft security stack (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for CloudApps, Purview DLP, Intune).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert recommendations and govern security solutions across multiple platforms.
• Develop, implement, and monitor security solutions with minimal supervision.
• Automate repetitive tasks to enhance efficiency and scalability of security operations.
• Normalize and integrate diverse technologies to streamline analysis and response.
• Document, educate and mentor team members on complex security products.
• Identify and assess risks and provide detailed recommendations for potential solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.
• Assist with security assessments and audits, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Assist with escalated incident response activities, including containment, investigation, and recovery efforts.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure our systems remain secure against evolving threats.
