Elm City Communities & The Glendower Group seeks a Senior Vice President to lead real estate strategy, development, construction, and asset management for a diverse affordable housing portfolio in New Haven. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
10+ years of progressive executive leadership in affordable housing, real estate development, asset management, or related field.
Proven success leading complex real estate development and construction initiatives.
Deep knowledge of affordable housing finance, real estate development, construction management, and asset management.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering accountability.
Strong organizational, project management, and prioritization skills across large initiatives.
Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and balance priorities.
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building with executives, boards, and community stakeholders.
Strong financial acumen and experience evaluating investments, budgets, and long-term portfolio performance.

Responsibilities

Provide executive leadership for all real estate development, construction, and asset management activities across Elm City Communities and The Glendower Group.
Develop and execute long-term portfolio strategies to strengthen performance and fulfill the mission of affordable housing.
Lead a high-performing team of VPs and senior professionals in Development, Construction, and Asset Management.
Oversee the complete development lifecycle—from acquisition through financing, design, construction, stabilization, and long-term asset performance.
Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with financing and regulatory requirements.
Drive operational excellence through planning, disciplined execution, and process improvement.
Identify opportunities for portfolio growth, redevelopment, and innovative financing solutions.
Build trusted relationships with municipal leaders, developers, lenders, consultants, and residents.
Align real estate initiatives with organizational priorities and long-term financial sustainability.
Lead with accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
