Job summary

BerlinRosen, part of Orchestra, is seeking a Senior Vice President to lead the Higher Education team and guide colleges, universities, and academic institutions through complex communications programs with executive-level counsel and multi-channel campaigns.

This senior leader will manage large accounts, mentor staff, drive new business, and elevate client outcomes in higher education communications.

Qualifications

11+ years of strategic communications experience across PR, higher education, nonprofit, or related environments.
PR agency experience strongly preferred with client management skills.
Adept at building relationships with reporters and media across top outlets.
Experience guiding rapid-response and long-lead media campaigns.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience mentoring and leading a diverse workgroup.
Strong business development and client-relations abilities.

Responsibilities

Serve as a senior strategic counselor to clients with executive-level guidance.
Lead development and execution of integrated campaigns across public affairs, earned media, social and digital.
Directly manage and mentor staff and provide strategic direction and feedback.
Draft strategy decks, communications plans, messaging and op-eds.
Collaborate with leadership to inspire and develop strategists.
Participate in new business development, proposals, and pitches.
