Job summary

AVANA Companies seeks a Senior Vice President - Business Development to originate CRE and SBA loans (owner-occupied, investor, construction, SBA 504). Lead deals from qualification to close, manage a national pipeline and drive growth by connecting borrowers, brokers and centers of influence.

You will collaborate with underwriting and closing teams, expand the loan portfolio and align production with credit and profitability goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of sales experience in the CRE and SBA field.
• Strong interest in financial services and a successful sales track record.
• Excellent business development, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data and CRE structures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-starter and multi-tasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Source, structure and originate CRE and SBA 504 loans that meet standards.
• Evaluate borrower finances and collateral to fit underwriting policy.
• Partner with underwriting and closing teams for timely funding.
• Maintain a healthy deal pipeline; target 3–4 closes per quarter.
• Provide market feedback to leadership on opportunities and product enhancements.
