Job summary

First Financial Bank Texas seeks a Chief Information Security Officer to lead the enterprise Information Security Program and set risk-based strategy. The CISO collaborates with senior management, regulatory bodies, and business units to protect assets and ensure compliance across the organization.

This role directs governance, IAM, incident response, and AI/governance initiatives, reports to Boards, and mentors security teams.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, technology environments, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.
• Experience overseeing IAM governance and access control programs.
• Knowledge of governance, incident response, security awareness, business continuity, and vendor risk management.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to communicate security topics to executive leadership and Boards.
• Ability to operate effectively in a diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Company's Information Security Program.
• Establish and oversee information security policies, standards, procedures, and governance processes.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and recommend enhancements to address evolving threats and business risks.
• Monitor the cybersecurity threat landscape and ensure appropriate controls are implemented to safeguard Company assets.
• Lead enterprise cybersecurity strategy and planning activities aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory expectations.
• Provide executive oversight of IAM Program; oversee user access governance across applications, systems, and infrastructure.
• Oversee access reviews, role management, segregation of duties, authentication controls, and privileged access management.
• Collaborate with leaders to ensure access governance supports efficiency and risk management objectives.
• Participate as a member of the AI Governance Council; guide use of AI technologies with cybersecurity risk focus.
• Prepare and deliver risk-based reports to executive management and Board committees; advise on cybersecurity strategy and investments.
• Lead Security Awareness and Training programs and drive enterprise-wide security education initiatives.
