Job summary

BioTalent in Boston, MA seeks a Senior Vice President, Technical Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership across Technical Operations, Process Development, MSAT, Technology Transfer, Process Validation, and Manufacturing—from early development through commercial supply.

The candidate will blend deep biologics manufacturing expertise with a proven ability to scale operations, strengthen client partnerships, and build high-performing teams in a CDMO.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
• 15+ years in biologics development and manufacturing with progressive leadership.
• Executive leadership experience in a CDMO/biologics organization.
• Deep expertise across large molecule manufacturing, process development, tech transfer, MSAT, GMP operations.
• Proven ability to lead client-facing technical organizations and manage complex tech transfer programs.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements supporting clinical and commercial biologics manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Operations strategy across biologics development and manufacturing.
• Provide leadership for Process Development, MSAT, Tech Transfer, and Validation.
• Drive technology transfers into GMP manufacturing.
• Partner with commercial, program management, quality, regulatory, and manufacturing teams.
• Establish scalable technical capabilities to support growth.
• Drive process robustness, efficiency, and yield improvements.
• Sponsor key client relationships with technical leadership throughout product lifecycles.
• Support regulatory inspections and audits.
• Build and mentor a high-performing technical operations organization.
• Contribute to strategic planning, capacity expansion, and long-term growth.
