Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA to lead architecture and hands-on development of AI-first, cloud-native systems. You will drive scalable, secure, high-availability platforms using Java, Spring Boot microservices, Angular, Kafka, and Azure AKS.

You will mentor engineers, embed NIST 800-53 controls into the SDLC, and partner with product leaders to deliver measurable outcomes for a complex financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 10–14 years of software development experience.
• Expert-level mastery of Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Angular, and Kafka.
• Deep experience on Azure AKS and cloud-native patterns.
• Proven ability to design highly available, high-throughput systems.
• Strong knowledge of security controls (NIST 800-53) and secure SDLC practices.
• Leadership in reliability engineering, performance tuning, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and implementation of scalable full-stack systems using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Kafka, and Azure AKS.
• Champion AI-first engineering: establish best practices for AI-assisted development and secure patterns.
• Define system design for high availability and high throughput with multi-zone deployments and robust failover.
• Embed NIST 800-53 control alignment into the SDLC and ensure continuous compliance.
• Drive end-to-end reliability engineering: observability, capacity planning, chaos testing, incident response improvements.
• Mentor engineers and influence cross-functional teams; lead architecture reviews and modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with product leaders to translate client needs into secure, scalable solutions and manage technical risk.
