Job summary

Capstone is seeking a Senior Vice President for Aerospace and Defense to lead our fast-growing A&D transaction advisory and strategy practice. This senior, client-facing role translates complex policy and regulatory developments into actionable investment insights and guides commercial due diligence across aerospace, defense, space and national security.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in aerospace/defense consulting or related finance, with a proven record leading buy-side or sell-side

Qualifications

• Substantive knowledge of the defense acquisition process, procurement and budget cycles.
• Ability to translate policy and regulatory complexity into commercial implications for investors.
• Experience producing structured, decision-ready deliverables under deal timelines.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements and lead junior staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and client-facing professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Lead policy and regulatory analysis across the A&D sector for public markets, private equity, and corporate clients.
• Lead commercial due diligence engagements on aerospace, defense, space, and national security targets for PE and institutional clients.
• Flag emerging risks and opportunities through written analysis and bespoke client engagement.
