Job summary

OSC Edge is seeking a Senior VoIP Engineer to manage the Cisco Unified Communications Manager cluster and ensure voice/video resources are operating across enclaves. The role requires hands-on CUCM experience, DoD 8570/IAT-II certification readiness, and on-site work at Quantico, VA.

Responsibilities include testing, provisioning, upgrades, documentation, and troubleshooting of voice systems, including coordination with vendors and adherence to security standards.

Qualifications

• Must have TOP SECRET clearance and eligible for TS/SCI.
• Five+ years designing, building and/or maintaining communications systems with at least 3 years on CUCM.
• CCNP Certification or CCNP Collaboration within 60 days or completion of CLCOR.
• Experience with Cisco Unity, Presence and Emergency Responder.
• Knowledge of Cisco UCCX.
• Proficient with IPv4 routing and external SIP integration.
• Proficient with SIP, SCCP, MGCP, DSN, PSTN and H.323.
• DoD 8570 certified at IAT-II / IAM-II.

• Designs, configures, installs VoIP hardware/software upgrades.
• Maintains VoIP documentation (drawings, cut sheets, configs, deployment plans).
• Diagnoses problems affecting voice services.
• Troubleshoots voice issues and outages, including non-core hours.
• Collaborates with vendors in support of the mission.
• Performs preventive maintenance on VoIP devices.
• Maintains current knowledge of voice/video technologies.
• Performs other tasks as required by OSC and Government contracting office.

Job description

Senior VoiP Engineer - w/ Security+ and CCNP or CCNP Collaboration with CUCM experience

LOCATION: Quantico, VA - (On-site 5 days a week)

As a Senior VoIP Engineer, the individual will oversee and manage all components of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager cluster. In this role, the Engineer will monitor and control the performance and status of voice and video resources across multiple enclaves and locations, utilizing software and hardware tools. In addition, the individual will work to ensure all voice applicable STIGs and vulnerabilities are resolved or mitigated in a timely manner.

This full-time position requires a physical presence at the worksite in Quantico, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Performs testing, provision, operations and emergency responses for voice network operations
• Designs, configures, and installs VoIP hardware/software replacements and upgrades
• Develops and maintains all VoIP documentation (drawings, cut sheets, configurations, and deployment plans)
• Identifies and diagnoses problems and factors affecting voice services
• Troubleshoots voice related issues and outages, which may occur during non-core hours
• Works with vendors in support of the mission
• Performs preventative maintenance services on all devices within the VoIP area of responsibility
• Maintains a current understanding of emerging technologies and trends in voice and video services
• Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience:

• Must have and maintain a TOP Secret Clearance and eligible for a TS/SCI
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Five (5) or more years of experience designing, building, and/or maintaining communications systems with minimum of three (3) years of experience with CISCO Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Version 10.5 or newer
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and 60 days to get the CCNP Collaboration or successful completion of the CLCOR exam
• Prior experience with Cisco Unity, Cisco Presences, Cisco Emergency Responder
• Knowledge of Cisco UCCX
• Prior experience with dynamic and static IPv4 routing and integrating with an external SIP provider
• Proficient with SIP, SCCP, MGCP, DSN, PSTN, and H.323 systems and devices
