Job summary

Blooming Health seeks an AI Engineer with strong voice AI experience to design and build real-time conversational voice systems and orchestration layers. You will work with the Director of AI Engineering and product teams to ship reliable AI features, focusing on latency, data quality, and production-grade software.

The role covers speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and tool-calling, with emphasis on prompt design, conversation flow, and robust error handling.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and shipping voice AI in production.

Responsibilities

• Design and build voice AI systems for real-time conversations.
• Develop and maintain AI orchestration layers and agent workflows.
• Architect pipelines for speech-to-text, LLM reasoning, tool calling, and text-to-speech.
• Consider latency, turn-taking, and conversation design in system choices.
• Build production-ready Python APIs and backend services.
• Create data pipelines to surface insights from interactions.
• Collaborate on technical direction for voice-based AI products.
