Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a VMware Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and operate VMware-based virtualization, software-defined networking, and storage across on-prem and hybrid cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on VMware experience with vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, NSX, and Tanzu Grid, plus strong automation skills using PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible, and vRO. This is a 100% remote, full-time W2 role in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on VMware platform engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Hands-on experience with vSAN and storage policy management.
• Experience with NSX-T or NSX-V networking.
• Strong PowerCLI scripting skills and automation tooling.
• Familiarity with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid or VMware container platforms.
• Strong disaster recovery knowledge with SRM.
• Excellent troubleshooting across compute, network, and storage layers.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate VMware vSphere, vSAN, and NSX environments across data centers and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Build and maintain Tanzu Kubernetes Grid environments for containerized workloads.
• Implement vRealize/Aria Automation for self-service VM provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Operate NSX-T for software-defined networking including micro-segmentation and load balancing.
• Manage vSAN clusters, storage policies, and performance for diverse workloads.
• Implement DR and BC using SRM and replication.
• Build automation using PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible, and vRO.
• Design capacity planning including right-sizing and workload placement.
• Lead upgrades and lifecycle management across the virtualization estate.
• Stay current with VMware product evolution post-Broadcom transition.
• Troubleshoot complex VMware issues spanning compute, network, and storage.
