Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. is seeking a Sr. VMware HCX Integration Engineer in Irving, TX to lead infrastructure migration initiatives across VMware HCX, Nutanix, and OpenShift environments.

You will design and implement migration strategies, optimize distributed compute platforms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in infrastructure engineering with 3+ years in HCX migrations, plus hands-on VMware/OpenShift experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience.
• 3+ years hands-on HCX migrations or similar.
• Experience with distributed infrastructure and server/converged/hyper-converged hosting solutions.
• 3+ years experience with VMware, Nutanix, OpenShift or related platforms.
• Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support infrastructure migration projects using VMware HCX and other tools.
• Manage distributed compute environments including virtualization and converged platforms.
• Perform workload migrations with minimal downtime and impact.
• Support and administer VMware, Nutanix, and OpenShift environments.
• Develop automation to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across Windows and Linux.
• Collaborate across architecture, engineering, and operations teams.
• Contribute to documentation and best practices.
