Job summary

CALIBRE Systems, inc. is seeking a senior VCF Design & Architecture Lead in the Washington, DC metro area. The role designs enterprise-grade VMware Cloud Foundation solutions aligned with mission objectives and transformation strategies.

You will lead discovery sessions, workshops, and requirements gathering, while guiding cross-functional teams through end-to-end architecture and governance from discovery to design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and requirements gathering.
• Design end-to-end VCF solutions, including management/workload domains, NSX network & security, vSAN storage, SDDC Manager lifecycle, and hybrid cloud integration.
• Develop high-level and low-level designs (HLDs/LLDs), blueprints, and roadmaps.
• Define workload segmentation strategies, multi-site and disaster recovery architectures, and operational governance models.
• Establish migration and transformation strategies from legacy VMware environments.
• Provide leadership and governance across implementation and operational transition.
• Review and approve designs aligned with VMware validated architectures; guide delivery teams to ensure accurate execution.
• Support modernization initiatives (hybrid cloud, Kubernetes, automation).
