Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a highly skilled automation engineer to support DoD programs on-site. You will implement SOP-derived automations using Ansible, troubleshoot Aria Automation and VCF integrations, and ensure VMware-based infrastructure aligns with STIGs.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly (or ability to obtain), strong problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in a high-security environment. Prior DoD experience and familiarity with DoD STIGs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly or ability to obtain.
• Proven experience with VMware, Aria Automation, Ansible automation, PostgreSQL databases, and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a high-security, on-site environment.
• Prior experience supporting federal or DoD customers (preferred).
• Familiarity with DoD STIGs and SRG compliance automation (preferred).
• Certification: Active TS/SCI clearance and CI Poly.

Responsibilities

• Automation Implementation: Review SOPs from VMware SRGs and develop Ansible playbooks to automate processes.
• Aria Automation & VCF Integration: Troubleshoot VCF accounts, resolve credential updates, and manage PostgreSQL provisioning-db queries.
• OBTU Troubleshooting: Support the Offline Bundle Transfer Utility (OBTU) for VMware Cloud Foundation.
