Role: Senior Visual Lead / Art Director (Brand Systems & DTC Marketing Design)

Location: Remote — US, Europe, or South America

Rate: $50–75/hour | Freelance with potential to go full-time

We’re looking for one exceptional creative — not an agency, not a junior, not someone still figuring it out. This is a senior role for a design generalist with real art direction range, strong brand system thinking, and hands-on experience across beauty, wellness, and DTC.

Who You Are

You’ve done this before — and it shows.

You’ve helped build visual worlds that drive both love and conversions.

You understand the pace, nuance, and standards of a growing DTC brand.

You:

  • Think in systems but execute with style
  • Bring taste, polish, and performance thinking to every brief
  • Have led visuals across web, email, ads, packaging, and social — not just once, but consistently
  • Know how to elevate without overcomplicating

What You’ll Own

This is a hybrid role: half designer, half art director. You’ll:

  • Audit and evolve our current visual identity across all brand touchpoints
  • Design high-quality assets for web, social, email, and paid
  • Collaborate with our verbal CD to elevate storytelling and creative direction
  • Build scalable design systems + brand guardrails
  • Help lead our major 2026 rebrand rollout (starting prep Fall 2025)
  • Ensure consistency and creative excellence across everything we ship
  • Set the bar for visual QA and polish

You’ll thrive if you bring:

  • A strong, senior-level portfolio (not Canva) showing depth across formats: web, ads, social, icons, packaging, motion, etc.
  • Beauty, wellness, or lifestyle DTC experience — must-have
  • Real marketing fluency — you design with goals in mind
  • Brand system skills — not just assets, but the thinking behind them
  • Strong art direction instincts — from campaign look/feel to photo briefs
  • Empathy for our audience: smart, sensitive, self-aware women

Bonus: experience in directing photoshoots for DTC brands

What We Care About (in order):

  • Portfolio. This is your application — no portfolio, no review.
  • Relevant brand experience. Especially beauty/DTC.
  • Marketing fluency. You get how good creative drives growth.
  • Attitude. Low ego, high craft, flexible mindset.

How to Apply

Subject: Senior Designer | [Your Name]

Please include:

  • A real portfolio — not templates — that shows full-spectrum brand work
  • A short paragraph (2–3 lines max) on why this role feels right for you

Note:

We’re only reviewing applicants with real beauty/DTC experience and system-level design thinking. If your portfolio doesn’t reflect that — no hard feelings, but this won’t be the right fit.
