Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Visual Experience Designer to join the Kiro Design team, shaping visual language across IDE, Desktop, CLI, Web, and Mobile for developer tools and AI-assisted experiences.

You will translate ambiguity into expressive UI systems, craft hero features, mentor designers, and collaborate with engineering partners to ensure pixel-perfect delivery and scalable design systems across surfaces.

Qualifications

3+ years of design experience.
Have an available online portfolio.
Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban).
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite applications, with high proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat on macOS.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve Kiro's visual language across IDE, Desktop, CLI, Web, and Mobile.
Deliver complex visual design solutions with heroes features and pixel-perfect production with engineering partners.
Art direct motion, illustration, and animation to express agentic capabilities in developer workflows.
Drive cross-surface coherence and ship unified visual standards with teams.
Present and advocate to senior leadership on creative strategy and visual decisions in business context.
Mentor designers and contribute to the Kiro design system to enable rapid prototyping and consistent delivery.
