Job summary

Audible is seeking a Senior Visual Designer to lead craft on the Experience Design team. You will shape the visual language across iOS, Android, and web, crafting a premium aesthetic beyond maintenance of design systems.

You will mentor designers, push creative boundaries, and translate mood, typography, and color into compelling product experiences that elevate the Audible brand across all touchpoints.

Qualifications

• Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
• 7+ years of industry experience as a visual designer, product designer or similar role
• Experience designing and delivering digital products that align customer needs and business goals; illustrated with a portfolio
• Experience taking design problems and working with stakeholders and user research insights to craft design solutions grounded in customer needs and business goals
• Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality output in all deliverables

Responsibilities

• Master the fundamentals: typography, composition, spatial hierarchy, color theory, and scale to create cohesive, innovative visual experiences
• Define and evolve our visual language: push boundaries to deliver a premium aesthetic across platforms
• Champion visual design excellence: raise the bar through bold exploration and strategic thinking
• Develop visual concepts and creative directions: mood boards, type explorations, color studies
• Bring visual storytelling into the product: apply expertise across graphic design, art direction, illustration, and storytelling
• Use motion with purpose: create high-fidelity visuals and prototypes demonstrating motion principles
• Shape our design system through craft: contribute to tokens, components, and patterns ensuring consistency
• Bring a forward-looking perspective: shape visuals for AI-enabled product landscape
• Lead and mentor: provide leadership and mentorship for a team of UX Designers
• Collaborate cross-functionally: communicate with cross-functional teams on complex flows and commerce-driven projects
