AbelCine in New York City seeks a Senior Visual Designer to join as a full-time employed consultant, supporting a key client in Midtown Manhattan. You will shape broadcast graphics, information design, and visual storytelling, developing scalable design systems for on-screen graphics and motion content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 7–10 years in broadcast/design with studio experience.
• Portfolio showing broadcast graphics and data visualization.
• Experience creating graphics for broadcast, studio, video, or live production.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into on-screen visuals.
• Experience building design systems or templates used by multiple designers.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve visual identity across studio programming.
• Ensure consistency across graphics and assets by brand standards.
• Learn and organize design files and reusable assets for production.
• Develop design systems, templates, and motion standards across shows.
• Translate data and executive messaging into compelling graphics.
• Reimagine static information for broadcasts and motion content.
• Create visuals for graphics, diagrams, and data-driven content.
• Collaborate with producers and other designers on visual approaches.
• Create motion graphics for broadcasts, video, conferences, and digital channels.
• Provide direction and QA for design work and brand consistency.
• Identify workflow improvements to scale design systems.
• Stay current on trends in broadcast design and related fields.
• Manage multiple projects with attention to quality.
