Job summary

Studio Science is seeking a Senior Visual Communication Designer who blends strategic thinking with hands-on craft to help leading brands communicate clearly and consistently. • Portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design and communication skills across brand and marketing applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field; combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Strong typography, layout, and information design skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience designing within established brand systems for large or complex organizations.
• Ability to understand a business problem and propose effective design solutions.
• Strong hands-on craft and ability to execute high-quality work independently.

Studio Science is seeking a Senior Visual Communication Designer who combines strategic thinking with exceptional hands-on craft to help leading brands communicate clearly, consistently, and effectively.

In this role you’ll work directly with enterprise clients to understand communication challenges, recommend thoughtful design solutions, and execute high-quality work across go-to-market materials including presentations, reports, videos, campaigns, and other branded communications.

This is a hands-on design role. Some projects will require concept development and helping clients determine the right approach; others will involve creating and adapting a high volume of assets within established brand systems. You should be energized by both.

We’re looking for someone who can think beyond the immediate design request, communicate confidently with clients, and bring senior-level judgment and consultation to the work - while still wanting to personally execute the details.

Responsibilities

• Move comfortably between strategic/conceptual assignments and detailed, production-heavy execution
• Collaborate across disciplines while maintaining a high standard of craft, accuracy, and consistency
• Use AI and emerging creative tools thoughtfully to improve the quality and efficiency of the work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or better in Design, fine arts or a related area of study; combination of education and technical experience is also acceptable
• Portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design and communication skills across brand and marketing applications
• Strong conceptual, typography, layout, composition, and information-design skills
• Experience designing within established brand systems, ideally for large or complex organizations
• Ability to understand the business/communication problem behind a request and recommend an appropriate design solution
• Strong hands-on craft and a genuine desire to personally execute the work
• Experience working directly with clients and presenting design rationale and recommendations
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, with strong presentation design capabilities in PowerPoint, Google Slides, and/or Keynote
• Experience in an agency, consultancy, or fast-paced client-services environment preferred
• High professional and personal standards with unquestioned integrity
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively work remotely and in a professional manner from home in a United States-based location
• Ability and flexibility to work with global clients across multiple time zones and for occasional travel to client sties and Studio Science headquarters in Indianapolis, IN
• Must be authorized to work in the USA for any employer without the need for sponsorship now or anytime in the future
