Job summary
LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Vision Systems to drive machine-vision and automated inspection capabilities across battery manufacturing.
You will lead troubleshooting, verification plans, and new equipment introduction, coordinating with Production, Engineering, Quality, and vendors to improve yield and OEE.
The role requires 7+ years in vision/automation and hands-on experience with Omron and Keyence platforms in a highly automated environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical field.
- 7+ years in machine vision, automation, or manufacturing within automated environments.
- Experience with robotic or automated manufacturing equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Operate, configure, and support Omron, Keyence, and similar vision controller systems.
- Develop and optimize machine vision programs and inspection methods.
- Lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality and vendors to improve inspection capability.
- Develop verification plans and coordinate testing with external resources.
- Provide technical training and mentorship to engineers and technicians.
