The Opportunity:

CCI is seeking a Senior Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) Lead responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of VDI solutions supporting USSTRATCOM. The role requires expertise in VDI technologies, leadership skills, and stakeholder collaboration.

Location & Contract:

Omaha, Nebraska. Contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:
  1. Guide engineering teams in designing and implementing VDI solutions.
  2. Provide expert guidance on VDI architecture, performance, security, and support DoD IL4–6 security needs.
  3. Develop analyses of alternatives and design solutions based on business needs.
  4. Support disaster recovery and COOP efforts.
  5. Contribute to POA&M deliverables for system upgrades and documentation.
  6. Monitor systems to identify incidents or degradations.
  7. Respond to technical support requests.
  8. Address performance issues post-troubleshooting.
  9. Perform Change Management per USSTRATCOM policies.
  10. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VDI infrastructure and servers.
  11. Apply comprehensive knowledge across tasks and assignments.
  12. Serve as a technical expert across projects.
  13. Supervise team members if applicable.
Qualifications:

Required:

  1. Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  3. At least 7 years in IT infrastructure, with 3+ years in VDI leadership.
  4. Certification: 8140 Cert 451 - Advanced; FITSP-O, GFACT, CASP+, CCNP Security, or CCSP; or applicable degree/training.

Additional:

  1. VMware certifications within 6 months (e.g., VCP).
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation:
