Job summary

Zoetis Veterinary Medicine Research and Development in Kalamazoo, MI seeks a Scientist or Senior Scientist in Virology or Molecular Biology to advance swine vaccine discovery and development. This role combines hands-on laboratory work with data interpretation and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Virology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or closely related field (candidates with a Bachelor's plus significant hands-on experience will be considered).
Extensive training in molecular techniques, virology, molecular or genotypic characterization, and cell culture.
Experience with hypothesis-driven research, data interpretation, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design and execute hypothesis-driven laboratory studies in virology and molecular biology.
Collaborate across teams to advance swine vaccine research and development.
Mentor and guide colleagues in laboratory techniques and vaccine concepts.
Summarize literature and present findings to internal and external groups.
