Job summary

Utah State University in Logan is seeking a Senior Videographer to steer the creative direction of video content alongside photographers, designers, copywriters, and marketers.

You will manage shoots, edit using Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve, oversee the YouTube channel, mentor student workers, and coordinate with campus partners to deliver compelling stories about what it means to be an Aggie.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Film, Communications, or related field with 4+ years of videography experience; or 8 years equivalent.
• Experience with Mac OS and editing software Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Drone operation experience; Part 107 license preferred.
• Proven editing skills across varied projects; strong portfolio.
• Online video portfolio showing diverse shooting environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct shoots independently or with a team using lighting, audio, and cameras.
• Collaborate with marketing managers to translate client needs into video concepts.
• Manage projects in ClickUp to meet deadlines and inform stakeholders.
• Backup and organize video content on a server for easy access.
• Assist with photography in shooting and postproduction.
• Manage USU YouTube channel with standardized metadata and thumbnails.
• Handle external video requests and deliver appropriate content.
• Provide hands-on training, mentorship, and resources to student workers.
• Drive creative ideas and improve processes in a high-efficiency team.
• Occasional non-traditional hours and travel 3-4 nights as needed.
