Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Senior Video Editor to join its U.S. communications team. You will transform footage, interviews, and product imagery into engaging stories across social and brand channels, collaborating with a Video Producer, Cinematographer, and Motion Designer.

You will handle editing across interviews, documentaries, explainers, customer stories, and internal comms, with routine color, sound, and finishing tasks to deliver high-quality masters.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional video editing and post-production experience in various environments.
• Strong reel/portfolio showing editorial judgment, pacing, emotional range across formats.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent.
• Experience editing interviews, documentaries, product stories, and brand communications.
• Strong instincts for story structure, performance, pacing, music, and audience engagement.
• Experience with dialogue editing, sound design, music editing, and finishing.
• Knowledge of motion graphics and VFX pipelines to brief and hand off work.
• Understanding codecs, containers, frame rates, resolutions, color spaces, and platform specs.
• Excellent organizational skills for media ingest, proxies, transcripts, and archives.
• Ability to manage multiple edits and review cycles with accuracy and timeliness.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Experience with robotics/healthcare/tech content is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Edit short- and medium-form video content for social media, web, events, and internal channels.
• Review briefs, scripts, transcripts, and footage to build clear editorial structures.
• Create selects, string-outs, assemblies, rough and final cuts with strong storytelling.
• Identify concise and emotionally credible stories from interviews and on-site footage.
• Collaborate with Video Producer on audience, deliverables, schedules, and feedback.
• Work with Cinematographer on coverage, exposure, and color intent.
• Partner with Motion Designer on animation briefs and asset integration.
• Edit dialogue, select music, build sound design, balance mixes for final delivery.
• Perform color correction and prepare reference files for internal/external finishing.
• Create and manage versions across durations, aspect ratios, captions, and platform specs.
• Incorporate feedback and maintain version history for continuity.
• Conduct technical QC across picture, sound, captions, and codecs.
• Maintain organized media, proxies, files, licenses, and archives.
