The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Information Security Technology is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of security technologies and controls for Radian's global enterprise. This visionary leader identifies new trends and technologies in cybersecurity and determines how they can be utilized to support the current model. The SVP is the senior-most executive responsible for the technical security of Radian and its subsidiaries, managing a complex team of security professionals to maximize efficiencies and deliver security objectives. The SVP ensures the technical defense of the enterprise, protecting business and customer data from cybersecurity incidents.

See Your Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and deploy security technologies and controls for Radian Group, including systems for Security Incident Response, Threat Management, Access Control Management, Security Analytics, Event Management, Network Firewalls, IPS / IDS systems, Vulnerability Assessment, Endpoint Security Controls, and Content Filtering.
  2. Coordinate the successful delivery of Information Security projects and services, working directly with key business stakeholders, executives, and project teams. Transform business and control requirements into practical engineering designs and migrate them into production.
  3. Serve as the key Information Security contact for Radian's technology infrastructure teams and managed services providers. Identify vendor market trends and threat landscapes, select IT vendors that meet security and business needs, and serve as an escalation point for security services delivery.
  4. Ensure that Information Security providers deliver services that meet service levels and comply with company policies, controls, and contractual agreements. Monitor provider roadmaps for alignment with the security program and analyze complex data sets to assess security impact.
  5. Assist other technical teams in resolving security incidents and outages related to information security controls, including coordinating resources and conducting root cause analysis.
  6. Coordinate the successful delivery of Security projects and services within Radian's support model in accordance with change management principles.
  7. Construct, evaluate, and execute Radian's secure software development life cycle, ensuring coding practices meet customer expectations.
  8. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of technical security, infrastructure-team, and application development personnel, ensuring consistent technical security operations across Apps, Infrastructure, and Business Operations.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Prior Work-Related Experience :

  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; Master's Degree preferred.
  2. 10 years of prior work-related experience required; 15 years preferred.
  3. CISSP certification required; CISM, CISA, CEH, ITIL, Black / Green belt, and Project Management certifications preferred.

Qualifications :

  1. Expert knowledge of network architectures, cybersecurity systems, and products.
  2. Subject matter expertise in cybersecurity operations, principles, and their application.
  3. Experience in Security Incident Response, Threat Management, Access Control Management, Security Analytics, Event Management, Network Firewalls, IPS / IDS systems, Vulnerability Assessment, Endpoint Security Controls, and Content Filtering.
  4. Experience managing and developing security programs aligned with ISO-27002, NIST, SANS, SOX, PCI, and state and federal privacy laws.
  5. Experience leading IT security projects within a tiered support model and in accordance with change management principles.
  6. Strong analytical skills to assess security impact and develop metrics.
  7. People leadership expertise managing a diverse group of team members and de-conflicting competing technical requirements.
  8. Software coding expertise to ensure secure operations of custom-developed applications.

Competitive Compensation : anticipated base salary from $235,000 to $290,000 based on skills and experience. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.

Rest and Relaxation. This role is eligible for 30 days of paid time off annually, which is prorated in the year of hire based on hire date. In addition, based on your hire date, you will be eligible for 9 paid holidays + 2 floating holiday in support of our DEI culture.
