Job summary

HSBC in the United States invites applications for a Senior Vice President, Relationship Manager in New York. You will build and grow complex international client relationships within Global Network Banking, spanning origination, deal structuring and cross-border solutions while upholding risk controls.

This role requires strong credit analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage high-profile clients and cross-sell across HSBC's global product set.

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience in frontline corporate banking roles covering complex international client relationships across sales and credit or equivalent experience.
  • Coordinate complex RFPs and global pitches with clear ownership from shaping content through to delivery.
  • Apply strong credit analysis skills with deep knowledge of corporate banking products and solutions.
  • Deliver origination, deal structuring and high-quality client proposals and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Influence and partner effectively with senior stakeholders across a global environment.
  • Manage portfolio risk through customer due diligence and KYC including high-risk KYC cases.
  • Build and support high-performing sales teams with a proven record of delivering outcomes.
  • Hold FINRA Series 79, 63 and SIE or bring equivalent demonstrable licensing experience with ability to obtain within required timelines.

  • Develop relationship strategies that anticipate client needs and position HSBC strongly in this segment.
  • Act as a first point of contact for daily credit-related enquiries while building relationships through client engagement.
  • Prepare, structure and present proposals and presentations for clients and prospects.
  • Undertake financial, credit and profitability analysis and produce account remarks and documentation.
  • Partner with Group colleagues to deliver needs-based solutions across products and services.
  • Provide ongoing risk monitoring across Global Standards and Anti-Money Laundering & Sanctions alerts and elevate issues appropriately.
  • Identify and execute cross-sell opportunities while staying close to economic, cultural and regulatory factors impacting international business.
  • Monitor portfolio performance against risk profile and take timely corrective action to mitigate losses and improve profitability.
  • Maintain internal control standards including fraud protection, credit monitoring and approval of team Know Your Customer (KYC) requests.

Global Network Banking (GNB) provides banking coverage to subsidiaries of Global Corporates and International Middle Market clients within Corporate and Institutional Banking. As a Senior Vice President, Relationship Manager you’ll build and grow complex international client relationships by spotting opportunities, shaping solutions and delivering high-quality service. The role spans origination and deal structuring, creating sharp strategic pitches and proposals, and bringing together partners across HSBC to meet client needs. You’ll apply strong corporate lending and risk assessment capability to support sustainable growth and sound decision making.
