Job description

Senior Vice President, Relationship Management
Advyzon Investment Management (AIM)
Position Overview

Advyzon Investment Management (AIM) is seeking an experienced Senior Vice President, Relationship Management to manage and grow a portfolio of existing AIM client relationships.

The SVP, Relationship Management will serve as a senior strategic partner to RIAs and financial advisory firms utilizing AIM’s investment management platform and solutions. This role is focused exclusively on the ongoing success, retention, and expansion of existing AIM relationships.

Success in this role will be measured by the strength and retention of client relationships, growth in net new assets, increased share of wallet, adoption of additional AIM solutions, and the overall health of the assigned client territory.

The ideal candidate combines deep knowledge of the RIA and investment management landscape with strong relationship-management skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to develop strategic relationships with senior decision-makers at advisory firms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager and strategic partner for a defined territory of existing Advyzon Investment Management clients.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of each client's business, investment philosophy, growth objectives, operating model, and evolving needs.
  • Segment and tier the client base based on factors such as assets, revenue, growth potential, relationship complexity, strategic importance, and opportunity for expansion.
  • Develop and execute territory and account plans that establish appropriate service levels, engagement strategies, growth objectives, and relationship priorities for each client segment.
  • Conduct structured quarterly, semi-annual, and annual business reviews based on client tier and strategic importance.
  • Drive organic growth within the existing client base by identifying opportunities to increase net new assets and share of wallet with AIM.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the use of AIM's investment management capabilities and solutions within existing relationships.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of assets held with AIM as well as potential assets held elsewhere to identify opportunities to deepen each relationship.
  • Proactively monitor relationship health, client engagement, asset flows, product utilization, and potential retention risks.
  • Develop and execute strategies to protect and retain client assets while addressing issues before they become potential attrition events.
  • Build strong relationships across multiple levels of client organizations, including firm owners, executives, advisors, investment teams, operations professionals, and other key stakeholders.
  • Serve as an advocate for clients internally, coordinating with investment management, trading, operations, service, product, technology, and leadership teams to ensure an exceptional client experience.
  • Partner with AIM's investment and product teams to communicate relevant capabilities, platform enhancements, investment solutions, and new opportunities to existing clients.
  • Maintain accurate client plans, relationship activity, asset-growth opportunities, risks, and next steps within the company's CRM.
  • Provide leadership with regular visibility into territory health, client retention, net asset flows, expansion opportunities, and emerging client needs.
  • Gather structured client feedback and market intelligence to help inform AIM's product, service, and strategic priorities.
  • Participate in client events, industry conferences, and other relationship-building activities as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with AIM's Senior Vice Presidents of Business Development to ensure a seamless transition of newly acquired clients from the sales process into long-term relationship management.
  • Act as a senior representative of AIM and consistently deliver a high-touch, consultative client experience.
What Success Looks Like

The SVP, Relationship Management will be accountable for building durable, expanding relationships across the assigned territory. Key measures of success are expected to include:

  • Client and asset retention
  • Net new assets from existing AIM relationships
  • Increased share of wallet
  • Expansion and adoption of additional AIM solutions
  • Client engagement and relationship health
  • Effective segmentation and coverage of the assigned territory
  • Successful execution of strategic client reviews and account plans
  • Identification and mitigation of potential retention risks
  • Overall growth and health of the existing AIM client base

Specific performance metrics and incentive compensation will align with these objectives.

Qualifications
  • 7–10+ years of experience in financial services, investment management, wealth management, fintech, RIA custody, TAMP/platform solutions, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and expanding relationships with RIAs, wealth management firms, financial advisors, or other institutional investment clients.
  • Strong understanding of the RIA ecosystem and familiarity with investment management platforms, managed accounts, model portfolios, trading, portfolio management, and related wealth-management solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage a territory or portfolio of relationships strategically rather than treating all clients with a one-size-fits-all approach.
  • Experience conducting executive-level business reviews and developing strategic account plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to increase client adoption, assets, and share of wallet while maintaining a relationship-first approach.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to develop trusted relationships with firm owners, executives, CIOs, advisors, and other senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across investment, operations, technology, product, service, and leadership teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use client, asset, and CRM data to prioritize activity and identify opportunities or risks.
  • Self-directed and highly accountable, with the ability to manage a geographically dispersed territory and multiple complex relationships simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree required; relevant industry designations or advanced degrees are a plus.
