Fahrenheit Advisors is assisting our client, Empower Brands, in the search for a SVP of Operations to lead JAN-PRO International Systems.

JAN-PRO operates a three-tier franchise model in the Janitorial Services category, consisting of Regional Development Franchisees (RDs) that provide business support services and sell franchises (Certified Business Owners, “CBOs”) into designated territories. CBOs deliver customized commercial cleaning plans and ancillary services to clients. JAN-PRO operates in multiple countries through over 120 regional developers and over 10,000 franchisees.

Position Overview:

The SVP of Operations oversees daily operations and long-term success of Jan-Pro International field operations, training delivery, and franchisee support. The role involves leading and managing the operations team to achieve organizational goals, supporting the top 10 Regional Franchisees, and leading field directors in delivering support and training. The team is responsible for developing support systems, ensuring compliance with brand standards, providing day-to-day assistance, training franchisees, and supporting business growth activities. This position is remote, with necessary travel.

  • Assist in setting brand strategies and initiatives
  • Provide leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Create a dynamic team environment for employees and franchisees
  • Oversee daily support operations for franchisees
  • Drive corporate initiatives within franchise operations
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Enforce brand standards
  • Manage P&L, budgeting, and strategic planning for the department
  • Support franchise development and market expansion
  • Assist in franchisee succession planning and exit strategies
  • Conduct or oversee certification and training programs
  • Review business plans, P&L statements, and KPIs with support staff
  • Build relationships with franchisees and peers
  • Develop and communicate SOP manuals, policies, and procedures
  • Identify and lead new business opportunities
  • Update the Brand President on operations projects and initiatives

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of strategic/business development experience, including senior management in a dynamic environment
  • Preferred experience in cleaning/janitorial services and franchising
  • Leadership skills to inspire trust and action among franchisees
  • Experience managing organizational change
  • Ability to collaborate across departments to achieve company goals
  • Talent in developing teams, delegating, and providing performance feedback
  • Proven success in strategy development and results delivery in ambiguous settings, leveraging data for strategic insights
