Senior Vice President, Business Development - Video SaaS Streaming and Monetization

Harmonic is the worldwide leader in video delivery solutions, enabling media companies and service providers to deliver ultra-high-quality streaming and broadcast services to consumers globally. Through innovative SaaS platforms and software-based appliances, we are changing the way media companies and service providers monetize live and on-demand content on every screen.

Role Description

The purpose of this role is to (i) increase visibility of Harmonic’s Video Streaming and Monetization SaaS value proposition at the C-level of major media companies and consulting / system integrators and (ii) successfully lead and / or facilitate sales activities to grow Harmonic’s Video SaaS business.

Job Responsibilities

Increase visibility of Harmonic’s Video Streaming and Monetization SaaS offering at major media and consulting / system integrator companies active in the media space

Define prioritized list of companies to target Refine Harmonic’s value proposition, with a focus on C-level leaders’ needs and requirements Develop relationships with the C-level leaders of target companies and evangelize Harmonic’s value proposition Develop relationships with the C-level leaders of major integrators and consulting companies

Develop sales opportunities and support sales team in execution

Develop sales strategy for target accounts Develop strong relationships with new strategic ecosystem partners and facilitate building mutually beneficial business agreements Co-facilitate and support Sales and Presales on opportunities

Liaise with CTO and SaaS Product / Solution Management to refine SaaS strategy

Steer solution strategy towards needs of target customers

Skills and Knowledge Required

Direct operational experience delivering services in the media space; direct experience building or operating D2C OTT systems is a strong plus. Excellent understanding of the OTT delivery and monetization ecosystem and a wide network of connections at companies that are part of the ecosystem Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the flexibility to shift and reprioritize projects as required Experience in working with all levels of management inside and outside the company Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify and clearly convey complex ideas Educational Requirements

BS in Business, Computer Science or equivalent

Location

Remote – this position is 100% Remote anywhere in the US. Travel as required

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $250,000 - $350,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market, location and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
