Description: SVP Advisory and Traditional Manager Investment Research
Jefferies Wealth Management is seeking a senior analyst to assist in managing the advisory business as well as overseeing manager research for separately managed accounts (SMAs) and mutual funds. The ideal candidate should bring approximately 10 years’ experience in financial services with a combination of expertise across manager due diligence, portfolio construction, and the day-to-day functions involved in running an advisory business. The right candidate brings strong experience and self-motivation to Jefferies’ fast-paced and growing wealth management business.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive quantitative and qualitative manager research on SMAs and mutual funds to create lists of recommended managers across asset classes
· Assist in managing all aspects of the advisory business including understanding account types, staying abreast of rules & regulations, and regularly collaborating with supervision, legal, and compliance
· Build on Morningstar and manager meetings to create written internal notes and external content for financial advisors describing fund manager strategies and rationales for recommendations
· Builds and maintain the featured strategies guide and lead a quarterly call with financial advisors and asset managers to review changes and top recommendations
· Create model portfolios with asset allocation and manager selection recommendations
· Respond to specific financial advisory inquiries regarding customized SMA or mutual fund searches
· Oversee offshore mutual fund agreement onboarding and maintenance
· Quickly respond to ad hoc requests
· Mentor analysts and associates on the team
· Demonstrate success in manager selection and build advisor following in recommended products

!*!· Approximately 10 years’ in financial services with experience conducting manager due diligence utilizing quantitative and qualitative analysis inside of wealth management business strongly preferred; candidates with relevant experience at a family office, OCIO, or other similar type organization will also be considered
· Awareness of advisory best practices, supporting software solutions (TAMPs), rules, and regulations
· Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly and effectively articulate views on managers
· Ability to manage multiple products simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail
· Familiarity working with onshore and offshore vehicles is a plus
· Familiarity with Envestnet and/or other TAMPs is a plus
· CFA or progress towards a CFA is a plus
· Candidate will be required to hold or obtain Series 7 & 66 licenses
The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $250,000.
