Job summary

MIH Systems Group is expanding its team to become the go-to expert for commissioning and servicing Variable Frequency Drives from multiple manufacturers across the NY/NJ area. You’ll diagnose, start up, and commission VFDs, troubleshoot breakdowns, and drive reliable, energy-efficient operation for buildings.

You will support service operations, build lasting relationships, deliver high-quality repairs, and communicate findings clearly to customers and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with VFDs across multiple brands.
• Valid driver’s license; able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Proficient reading electrical drawings and schematics.
• OSHA 30 certification and SST training required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, start up, commission, and validate multi-vendor VFD performance.
• Help management run an efficient service operation—supporting staffing productivity, retention, cost control, and objectives.
• Develop relationships that lead to repeat and referral business.
• Deliver high-quality repairs with minimal callbacks.
• Keep customers and leadership updated on status, findings, and risks.
• Recommend additional services following established protocols.
• Model safety-first behavior and adherence to procedures.
