Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) seeks an experienced veterinarian to join the Department of Veterinary Resources as a senior team member responsible for procedures, training, and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on overseeing animal care and use in translational research, developing animal models, ensuring IACUC alignment, and leading staff to uphold the highest welfare standards.

Candidates must have a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, license or eligible in PA, and several

Qualifications

• Doctorate Veterinary Medicine required; PA licensing within 12 months preferred.
• At least five (5) years of veterinarian experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with large animals and surgical/anesthesia preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee animal care and use program and regulations.
• Lead training programs for staff and researchers.
• Collaborate with CHOP DVR and IACUC on model development.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and conduct audits of records, procedures and protocols.
• Supervise staff and provide performance feedback and development opportunities.
