  • Must pass annual Medical Evaluation to use respirator; wear PPE; overtime possible.
  • Driver's license required.
  • Substitutions: a master's degree may substitute for one year of experience; a Ph.D. may substitute for two years.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and conduct veterinary field work for disease control programs.
  • Respond to calls from veterinarians and producers for outbreak investigations.
  • Enforce regulations including interstate and inter-island movement of animals.
  • Implement emergency disease control plans and other program activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
