Job summary

UrgentVet - Cary, NC is seeking a full-time Senior Veterinary Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced urgent care clinic. You will assist veterinarians and technicians, lead teammates, and deliver outstanding client service.

This on-site role requires experience with animals in a hospital setting, strong communication, the ability to multi-task, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must lift up to 40 lbs and thrive in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates professionalism, dependability, healthy and positive communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a hands-on environment
• Energetic people-and-pet person with excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills
• Willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Full-time employees may be required to travel for on-site training and onboarding
• Prior customer service experience
• Prior experience working with animals in a hospital setting
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
• Regular on-site presence as an essential function of the role; in-person attendance is necessary to support patient care, respond to time-sensitive needs, collaborate with clinical teams, and maintain safety and well-being of patients, clients and staff
