Job summary

Bunge Limited is seeking a Vessel Operator in Coral Gables, FL to oversee the transportation of dry bulk commodities by ocean-going vessels. You will coordinate voyage planning, stowage, routing, bunkers, and freight payments while ensuring compliance with charter terms and regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong communication with captains, owners, brokers, port agencies, and internal teams. A background in dry bulk operations and IT systems is essential for timely KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and 6+ years of experience as a dry cargo operator in Panamax/Handy vessels.
• Experience with dry bulk cargo operations and familiarity with charter-parties is essential.
• Proficient in vessel IT systems, logistics reporting and KPI analysis.

Responsibilities

• Direct communication with vessel Captain, owners, charterers, brokers and port agents for voyage execution.
• Prepare cargo stow-plans, fuel replenishment, and port/vessel restrictions per voyage.
• Manage vessel hire and freight payments and maintain AP/AR with counterparties.
• Monitor voyage disbursement accounts and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
• Produce monthly KPI reports and assist accounting in global offices.
