Job summary

Roush is seeking a Senior Vehicle Test Engineer to support test procedures for full vehicles on track or road surfaces, focusing on durability, strength, fatigue, and customer usage. You will plan, implement, and document testing, ensure test readiness and data quality, and analyze results to form conclusions and procedures.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of automotive engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of powertrain and chassis systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and procedures.
• Knowledge of fluid flow and heat transfer.
• Basic programming and electronics troubleshooting.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support test procedure execution for full vehicles on test track or road surfaces.
• Plan, implement, track, and document testing.
• Ensure test plans are adequate for validation and data meets requirements.
• Analyze test data and develop procedures.
• Collaborate with customers and team members on testing tasks.
• Inspect vehicles to ensure proper instrumentation and readiness.
• Maintain high quality database records of issues and resolutions.
• Support issue diagnosis by driving vehicles and consulting with Design Engineers.
• Provide detailed repair direction to technicians with procedures and illustrations.
• Maintain data analysis macros and programs; compile test data and provide conclusions.
