Job summary

Atoms is hiring a Senior Engineering Technician to own the build, retrofit, and readiness of development vehicles at our San Francisco HQ. You will take vehicles from bare platforms through installation, functional checks, and sign-off, often in environments with sparse documentation.

You will debug across mechanical, electrical, and firmware layers independently and collaborate with engineering teams. You will lead vehicle retrofits, create as-built records, and write instructions for junior

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on vehicle integration or related electromechanical work.
• Ability to troubleshoot unstructured problems from first principles.
• Experience with cross-disciplinary systems (mechanical/electrical/software).
• Can read wiring diagrams, schematics, BOMs; flag discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Take vehicle builds from bare platforms through installation, functional check, and sign-off.
• Integrate custom compute units and sensor stacks.
• Decide routing, mounting, grounding, and serviceability.
