Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required
• Demonstrated expertise in product & assembly design for different manufacturing processes
• Experience working as an engineer in a vehicle related business is preferred
• 7+ years of experience is recommended

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for vehicle-related components and systems from concept to production
• Transform market requirements into system, subsystem and component specifications
• Perform project-related assignments and collaborate with all functions to ensure quality, delivery and cost
• Represent Engineering on cross-functional new product development teams
• Ensure technical rigor for all projects (Specifications, DFMEA, DVP, APQP, Technical Design Reviews)
• Create and own the Engineering Release Plan for components, assemblies and BOMs
• Remove roadblocks and accelerate project implementation
• Utilize PTC Creo to design and develop mechanical components and subsystems
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop components to Club Car specs
• Work with manufacturing engineers to ensure DFM and manufacturability
• Lead benchmarking and value engineering ideation activities
