Rivian is seeking a highly experienced Staff Vehicle Aerodynamicist to lead the aerodynamic development of our next-generation electric adventure vehicles. You will serve as the technical authority on vehicle aerodynamics, driving drag, lift balance, and cooling with the Design Studio to balance efficiency and styling.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• 6+ years in automotive aerodynamics within an OEM or motorsport environment.
• Deep expertise in CFD codes for full-vehicle aerodynamics.
• Extensive wind tunnel testing and data correlation.
• Proficiency in CAD surface development (CATIA V6).
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to leadership and partners.
• Experience taking a vehicle program from clay to start of production.

Responsabilidades

• Attribute Leadership: own aerodynamic targets for major programs.
• Design Partnership: guide exterior surfaces to meet aero targets while preserving styling.
• Simulation & Analysis: lead CFD campaigns and improve correlation and turnaround time.
• Testing & Validation: plan and execute wind tunnel tests per DVP; validate concepts.
• Executive Communication: present status, risks, and trade-offs to leadership.
• Cross-Functional Integration: coordinate with Thermal, NVH, Vehicle Dynamics, Range teams.
• Mentorship: mentor Senior Engineers and promote technical excellence.
