Job summary

BCore is seeking a Senior VDI Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment in a hybrid model across Springfield, VA and Arnold, MO. You will act as SME for performance issues and partner with teams on design, automation, and optimization.

The role requires TS eligibility and relevant Citrix/Biz IT experience, with salary range $122,000–$150,000 in the DC metro area.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of experience and progressive roles from Administrator to Sr. Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3/4 support to resolve VDI issues.
• Guide desktop optimization for platform interoperability and act as liaison between VDI technologies.
• Offers endpoint support on issues and resolution tasks for VDI tasks.
• Maintains advanced knowledge relative to administration, engineering, and implementation of VDI technologies.
• Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of related disciplines.
• Conducts trade studies and makes recommendations on solutions and 'make buy' decisions.

Responsibilities

The Senior VDI Engineer will support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment. This role will be the SME for troubleshooting all related performance issues across the organization. Additionally, the position will require an individual experienced in system design and integration, identity lifecycle management, and process automation and improvement.

Job Duties

• In addition to architecting and designing, the VDI Engineer will provide TIER 3/4 support to system administrators in order to resolve VDI issues.
• Provide guidance on optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
• Offers endpoint support on issues and trouble resolution tasks on Virtual Desktop related tasks.
• Maintains an Advanced knowledge relative to administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies.
• Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
• Conducts trade studies and makes recommendations on solutions and "make buy" decisions.

Clearance Required: Active TS (SCI eligibility) and eligibility to obtain CI Poly

Education / Experience

• Requires Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience and progressive roles from Administrator to Sr. Engineer
