Job summary

D2 Technical Services seeks a VDI Engineer to design, configure, and maintain a large, globally accessible virtual desktop environment. The role is the SME for troubleshooting VDI performance and will require system design, identity lifecycle management, and process automation.

The candidate should have active TS/SCI with Polygraph, substantial Citrix experience (PVS, MCS, CVAD, Netscaler, WEM, App Layering) and a track record from Administrator to Senior Engineer, with strong written and verbal

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Experience engineering support for Citrix products across versions.
5+ years in VDI engineering with a BS degree or equivalent.
Progressive roles from Administrator to Senior Engineer.
Proficiency with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v7.15+ and related tools (PVS, MCS, CVAD).
Experience with Citrix Netscaler/ADC/VPX, WEM, App Layering, and Liquidware Profile Unity.
Hyper-V and VMware VDI environments; familiarity with Leostream and HP AnyConnect.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 3/4 support to system administrators for VDI issues.
Guide desktop optimization for platform interoperability and liaison between VDI technologies.
Offer endpoint support and troubleshoot VDI tasks.
Maintain advanced knowledge of administration and implementation of VDI-related technologies.
Operate in complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
Conduct trade studies and advise on solutions and buy/make decisions.
