Job summary

Veeva Systems seeks a senior Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance consultant to lead workshops, design solutions, and guide deployments of Vault Safety on the development cloud. You will collaborate with global customers, cross-functional teams, and business leads to deliver compliant safety implementations while driving change across programs.

The role requires deep SAS/SQL proficiency, knowledge of safety processes, and fluent English communication.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of life sciences industry experience in Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance.
• Japanese language proficiency is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Japan Green Book and PMDA safety reporting requirements.
• Ability to conduct or support workshops, discussions and requirement clarification sessions.
• Knowledge of Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance processes and regulations.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries on safety data sets.
• Experience implementing safety systems like Argus, Emperica, Aris, Commonwealth, RxLogix or home-grown systems.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal; prior individual contributor roles.
• Willingness to travel ~25% of project time.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead business workshops to gather and document business functional and non-functional requirements.
• Design solution concepts in collaboration with configuration teams.
• Act as customer liaison, coordinating with implementation teams and product groups.
• Provide expert advisory for data migration activities.
• Guide customers in adopting Vault Safety and best practices during implementation.
